Friends of the Library
What are the Friends
The Friends of Springwater Library provide amazing support for the library through fundraising and advocacy.
In the past year, efforts included a silent auction, the Elmvale Maple Syrup Festival annual book sale, marching in parades (Elmvale Fall Fair and Anten Mills Santa Claus parades), and having a table at Community events: weekly Springwater Farmers Market, Midhurst Autumnfest, Minesing Minifest, and the Tiny Fire Family Fun Day. Who can join
All supporters are welcome to join the Friends! There are many different ways to be a part of the Friends, depending on your skills, passion, and time. You could join the Executive and help determine the priorities of the group for the year, or you could help out with the events as time permits.
Every helping hand is very appreciated and supports important programs and services the library provides.
General membership includes a small joining fee. You will receive perks such as early entry to book sales, receive communications from the Friends group and you can volunteer with as many or as few events as you choose.
Executive membership includes regular meetings, sets priorities for the group, reports to the Library Board, and creates sub-committees to focus on specific events or projects.
Silent Auction Success
The Friends of Springwater Public Library hosted their annual online silent auction in November 2025. It was a huge success with all proceeds going towards library and library program enhancement.
The Friends would like to thank the countless individual supporters and local businesses who donated items/gift cards for our silent auction. In addition, we extend our appreciation to our community of local supporters who participated in the silent auction.
Be sure to watch for more exciting events coming in 2026!
Thank you for your support!
