Battle of the Books

Let the Battle begin!

The Battle of the Books is an annual program that establishes partnerships between public libraries and schools. It motivates and challenges students who enjoy reading in a live trivia competition all about books!

Springwater Public Library provides support to teams throughout the year by visiting the teams, talking about tips, strategies and ways to make the final battle day more fun (free books, pizza lunch!). Library staff spend the school year reading the book list themselves and creating questions for the students to answer.

When

Every May, teams come together at our exciting Battle day! All of the teams assemble to compete against one another and show their knowledge on the books. It is a great day that highlights books, libraries, school spirit and above all, a love for books!
