What does the Board do?
- The Library Board provides Governance and Financial Oversight for the Library.
- The Board delegates responsibility for operations of the Library to the CEO.

Who Should Apply?
People who are:
- Enthusiastic about library services.
- Knowledgeable about finance, strategy, governance, policy and HR.
- Good at team building and leadership.
- Willing to be library advocates.

Thursday September 10 at Minesing Branch, 6:30pm – 8pm
Monday September 14 at Midhurst Branch, 6:30pm – 8pm
Tuesday September 15 at Elmvale Branch, 6:30pm – 8pm
Qualifications:
- At least 18 years of age
- Resident of Springwater Township
- Canadian citizen or permanent resident
- Not employed by the Township of Springwater or the Springwater Township Public Library
Duties Include:
- Attend meetings: The Library Board meets once a month for 1-2 hours to discuss library finances, policy, strategic priorities and library usage.
- Serve on Committees: Board members are expected to sit on committees (Finance, Policy and CEO Evaulation) to help set direction. These meet throughout the year.
- Provide Advocacy: Board members are knowledgeable about the library and the community. They show up at community events and meetings to promote the library.
