Special devices called mobile hotspots enable a traveling internet service that will work where there is a Rogers cellular network available (most of Ontario area)! These devices provide internet access to wifi enabled smartphones, tablets and PC’s (up to 10 devices at once!). The devices can be signed out from the front desk of the library for a duration of three weeks.
You never have to worry about having your library card on hand in the library. You can easily place holds, remove holds, manage your account and your children(s) accounts all on our library app!
We created a helpful video: How to Guide – Library app to get you started.
To download the app visit the Google Play or App store and search, “Simcoe County Libraries”.

We want the library to be a stress-free place for you! If you have lost your card you can download the Library App (see Library App in FAQ menu) and the first time you log into your account it will always remember you. We can then scan your ‘card’ from your phone in the library! If you would like a physical card replacement there is a cost of $5 for a new card.
If you forgot your pin to access your online account, we default it to the last four digits of your library ID number on your card when you sign up. Alternatively, you can always contact us during open hours and we would be happy to help!

Courier services happen twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays. This service will deliver holds from any of our three branches (Elmvale, Midhurst, and Minesing) to your preferred library branch location.
